OTEX Featured in Journal of Infection Prevention

Having already been recognised by the Department of Health Rapid Review Panel, JLA’s OTEX system has gained yet more credence in the healthcare arena following its presence in the recent Journal of Infection Prevention*. In an ‘Evaluation of the Cleaning Efficiency of Microfibre Cloths Processed via an Ozonated Laundry System’, OTEX demonstrated how ozone can be used to continually disinfect microfibre to extend the life of re-usable mops and cloths. Earlier tests show that after traditional thermal cycles, microfibre performance declines after just 150 washes – but the latest Journal findings reveal that OTEX maintains efficiency for over 350 washes.

Please note that the article above refers to a specific test on microfibre mops - which highlighted the increase in resuseable mop lifespan. However, in terms of disinfection and the 99.999% eradication of harmful bacteria, the OTEX ozone process has been designed to disinfect ALL fabric types, and is equally effective when used to decontaminate traditional mops.
