JLA Featured in 2017 Catering Insight Power List
JLA has recently been featured in the Catering Insight Power List 2017, with Sales Manager Sam Parkes featuring in the Young Trailblazers category. Sam was nominated for his deep industry knowledge, which he has gained over the past ten years – and he’s still only 27!
Sam’s peers at JLA have described him as an “invaluable” part of the team since he joined the company, and that his expertise and knowledge about the vast array of catering equipment available on the market makes him the person to turn to when customers need advice and guidance.
“I was initially surprised and naturally proud that I had made it into the list,” says Sam. “It’s voted for by colleagues and clients I deal with every day, from manufacturers to consultants, so word gets around quickly. It’s always nice to receive recognition in your job.”
Sam started his career in catering sales at Brakes Foodservice Equipment, learning from senior figures in the company before applying his skills in the field. He joined JLA in 2016 and is now working with the Group Business Development team.
Sam is optimistic about the future of the catering industry and the role that JLA will play in it. “I think JLA’s fast-moving environment sets us apart from our competitors; our range of propositions and services, including Total Care, makes a real difference for our customers ,” Sam adds. “This will to succeed will only stand us in good stead in the catering market.”
This is the second occasion in which JLA has featured on the prestigious Catering Insight Power List, with Chief Marketing Officer Liam Grant recognised in the 2016 edition for driving the growth of Total Care for Catering.
