Park Hills Nursing Home

Since 1985, Barbara Rogers and her team at Park Hills Nursing home in Oldham have provided a high standard of care for its residents who require complex or end-of-life care. To ensure residents stay in a comfortable atmosphere at their most critical time, Barbara needed to invest in a new heating system that could be relied upon and would better suit the home’s needs.

With the previous boiler being as old as the nursing home itself, Barbara struggled to keep the home at a comfortable temperature. “We had no thermostat and therefore we could not control the heat,” says Barbara.

“When JLA offered to provide a heating solution, they were the obvious supplier of choice, as we already benefit from Total Care on our laundry equipment, so to not have any worries with our heating as well would be perfect, when I heard about the 4-hour engineer response if there happened to be a fault, this really appealed to me – with having such vulnerable residents at our home, it is crucial that we aren’t left without heating for any length of time. This also gives a level of comfort to our residents’ families as they have peace of mind that their loved ones are residing in a comfortable environment”.

After discussing the home’s needs with their JLA Heating consultant, Park Hills chose two JLA wall hung boilers as they provide energy efficient heating, saving up to 30% a year and also ensure the home is kept comfortable all year round. All of this coupled with the fact that there was no capital outlay for the equipment or installation meant that Barbara’s mind was at rest. “The new boilers are so easy to use; we can regulate the heating in seconds and are already feeling the benefit of the new system.”

“I’m now confident that the home will have comfortable heating and I know that if I have any problems I can call JLA at any time and I won’t have to worry about paying anything extra as it’s all covered as part of the Total Care package!”
