The challenge: meet growing laundry demand at a busy Heathrow hotel
Thanks to glowing reviews and a prime location on London Heathrow’s Bath Road, Holiday Inn & Staybridge Suites has seen consistent growth in room bookings – and with them, laundry volumes.
To maintain service quality, the team wanted to upgrade the hotel’s ageing on-site laundry room with state-of-the-art equipment that could handle the extra load.
Already a JLA customer, Holiday Inn turned to our specialists for support with the upgrade project, which would deliver a complete laundry overhaul to meet increased demand, maximise space, and help to reduce energy use and running costs. Ideally, any new equipment would also be covered for servicing and repairs, minimising downtime.
The project’s requirements were time-sensitive, however: installation would need to be completed before the beginning of October to align with peak season bookings and planning, giving JLA’s laundry team just under six weeks to deliver.
The solution: a rapid install, backed by Total Care
JLA supplied and installed five JLA 8P commercial washers and five JLA 8C commercial dryers, stacked to optimise floor space and make extra room for any future upgrades. Each of the units is protected by JLA’s all-inclusive Total Care package, which includes free installation, same-working-day breakdown cover and all essential maintenance and repairs, for a simple monthly fee.
The project was completed in a matter of weeks, with final installation taking place on 24th September – comfortably ahead of the client’s deadline. JLA’s engineers worked closely with Holiday Inn’s facilities team to deliver a smooth transition, with the fit-out process causing minimal disruption to the hotel’s day-to-day operations.
