Commercial Display Fridge FAQs
Commercial display fridges should last 10 years for your business although wear and tear can be a factor in their lifespan. With appropriate maintenance, many premium models could function for up to 15 years.
There are legal requirements when it comes to the temperature of displayed food and drink in a commercial fridge, with variations among products. Fruit and vegetables, including salad, should be chilled between 5°C and 8°C. Dairy and delicatessen, which may include sandwiches, should be between 0°C and 5°C. Many drinks such as beers, wines and soda, are recommended to be stored at 5°C. Setting your chilled display equipment to 5°C should allow for multiple options.
A commercial display fridge may, in principle, provide the same function as its domestic counterpart but for commercial use a refrigerator requires far more power and capacity. Built using high grade materials to help withstand professional environments, these fridges use precise temperature control to ensure food safety standards are met, in addition to ensuring food and drink remains at its best. Commercial display refrigerators come in many forms to suit the large spectrum of catering needs, including but not limited to; bar fridges, bottle coolers, open deck fridges and upright chillers.
