Room size
- Please clear of any obstructions.
- When installing machines, please ensure there is clearance both behind and in front as well as the sides for engineer service access.
- Ensure adequate flooring with a solid base is required so it can withstand the weight and loadings of commercial machines. You may need to seek advice from structural engineers if you are planning on having machines on upper levels.
Electrical loadings
- Commercial equipment can come in both three or single phase.
- It is important to be aware that commercial equipment can have a big draw on electrics so it’s important to bear in mind that the main fuse to your premises may need increasing by electrical suppliers.
- Some machines do have options if electrics are an issue, this may include using already hot water or gas fired machines.
Gas
- In the UK there is 2 types of gas. Natural and LPG.
- Lot’s of our machines can be either but may require conversion.
- LPG is useful in remote areas but it’s costly and requires ongoing replenishment.
- Gas meters come in different sizes and may need upsizing if too much is demanded from them. This would need to be completed by gas suppliers.
Ducting/ventilation
- Ducting and ventilation are an important part of commercial tumble dryers. It enables the moist air to be exhausted and fresh air replenished into the room.
- This will need holes to be cut into walls which may need permission from building owners.
- Following an update to BS8446 it is now a legal requirement that exhaust ducting must be located a minimum of 2M away from any openings. This may require ducting to be installed up and onto roofs.
- It’s important to factor in fire zones when routing ducting if they pass from room to room.
