We often hear from customers looking to reduce laundry room costs without compromising disinfection standards or wash quality. So, we invited Head of Field Installations George Barclay to share some of his best energy-saving advice for laundry rooms.
Watch George’s tips on saving energy
Commercial vs domestic laundry machines
One of the first things George highlights is the difference between domestic and commercial laundry equipment. Not only do commercial machines have bigger capacities, but they’ll often complete a cycle in as little as 20 minutes – an efficiency that reduces time and energy use and adds up to real savings in the long run.
George also touches on JLA’s cold-water OTEX disinfection system, which uses natural ozone to disinfect loads and kill 99.999% of harmful bugs and is a proven energy-saving alternative to traditional thermal infection.
From there, George covers auto-dosing detergents, which ensure you always use just the right amount of detergent and softener for each wash, reducing waste and guaranteeing the best possible cleaning performance every time.
And then JLA’s super energy-efficient SMART dryers are also showcased, which can reduce a laundry room’s water costs by up to 67% and electricity costs by 33%, every cycle.
