To cater for kitchens of all sizes, we offer undercounter, countertop and upright fridges – all with single or double door options, and are able to keep their cool in temperatures as high as 43°C – so when the kitchen gets hot, your food stock keeps its cool. Maintaining food at an appropriate temperature is critical in achieving HACCP compliance, with blast chillers in particular a standout for keeping pre-prepared food out of the bacteria-growing ‘danger zone’.

JLA commercial fridges are designed for high performance in your kitchen, and can withstand high ambient temperatures. They run more efficiently than domestic models, and are available in a variety of styles and sizes from compact 2-in-1 countertop units and blast chillers to display chillers, salad counters and bottle coolers for front-of-house.
For front-of-house needs, JLA supplies salad counters, drinks display fridges, ice machines and bottle coolers, with temperature control variables, so you can be assured that whatever you need keeping fresh, will be.
Innovative controllers manage the output of our fridges. The harder you work, the harder our fridges work to keep temperatures at optimum chilling levels – and when idle, they ease off on cool air generation to save you up to 15% in energy.

JLA’s Commercial fridges are also specifically designed for frequent use – opening and shutting the doors throughout the day won’t result in high energy costs. Commercial refrigeration FAQs
A thorough maintenance schedule can help to extend the life of your commercial refrigerator, ensure it is running at maximum efficiency, and assists in avoiding emergency breakdowns which could leave your kitchen staff out in the cold.
The demanding nature of commercial kitchens mean that knocks, spills, and continued opening and closing are all part and parcel of fridge and freezer usage. With this in mind, to ensure premium performance you should regularly check the following as part of your refrigerator maintenance:
- Rotation of food stock to ensure produce is kept fresh
- Clean the interior and exterior with sanitiser. This includes evaporator and condenser coils
- Ensure all lines are checked for condensation
- Inspect fan motors and blades
- Top up lubrication on hinges as needed
- Inspection of drains for debris
- Check for air leaks
- Calibrate the refrigerator thermometers
It’s good to be prepared and understand how often you will need to replace your commercial fridge or freezer but the good news is, you can expect most models to enjoy a lifespan of 10 years. With appropriate maintenance, some models may last 15 – 20 years.
Both commercial and domestic fridges may serve the same function in principle, but a commercial refrigerator is specifically designed for heavy-duty usage. There is an expectation for commercial fridges to be in constant operation and to thrive in high-heat environments, which a domestic fridge is simply not suited for.
